Welcome to Can You Survive: Devil's Island!
This is the first season that we will be introducing a form of Exile Island but this time, it will be called "Devil's Island" After each challenge, one person will be given an opportunity to hop on Devil's Island for a chance to locate the Hidden Immunity Idol. Sounds simple? Well, there is another twist in store at Devil's Island. Prepare to meet your enemy, the Devil's Hand. This mysterious item holds the power to poison any one in this game after it's used. More information will be revealed about this item to the holder if found .
Another twist to start this season off, you may be wondering what your tribes are... Well, you don't have tribe(s). You are all one tribe! That's right, for a unknown number of rounds in this game you will be playing as individuals. Everything will remain the same, the 16 of you will compete in Immunity Challenges, 1 person will be sent to Exile and safe from the vote. The other members will be sent to Tribal Council where one of you will be voted out of this game.
Rewards and curses! A new thing we've added to our series. Of course rewards are rewards, they help you out if you get one! But we've also added the curses The individuals who get a trip to Devil's Island get a choice. You either get the next clue for the idol or search from 1-100 skulls. You will send both Damien and I the number of the skull you'd wish to crack in a PM. We will keep an update list of those numbers that are taken. If you get a prize, we will tell you via PM in return. If you get a curse, you will be notified. So the questions remains, clue or risk getting a curse to find a reward?Alright, with all that knowledge soaked in, here is some little history of our series.
Confessionals, we aren't so pushy with them but we do like updates. How can a host enjoy their game without anything to read about? We will often post brain pickers in your confessionals to keep your mind going but do note that we do read and we do care. Please keep those up! On the plus side, it will help us decide the final set of AS cast members entering the final season of the series. Prove to us you have what it takes to be a star of the season.
Another thing I would like to bring into this series is Player of the Week! Essentially, judging by your updates every round (hopefully) and if things work out for that individual, they will be crowned player of the week. I will keep an updated list in the Host hideaway of each player nominated. Usually, I'll nominate 4 players each round, with one winning the Player of the Week. It'll be fun to see at the end of the season when everything is revealed!
Now, on to your...
First Individual Immunity Challenge
Tonight, you will be given five minutes to prove you can post as much as you can. But there is a twist to this challenge, it's not as easy as it sounds. Posting this phrase,
[Name] Runs ---- x 10
You will then use this Image and post this phrase on your eleventh post..
[Name] Lights Torch #1
You will repeat these steps until your five minutes is over. Now, let me tell you what is considered five minutes.
10:00 - 10:05 is not five minutes
10:00-10:04 IS five minutes. A look at the minutes being used,
10:00, 10:01, 10:02, 10:03, 10:04
Once the clock hit's 10:05, the challenge is over. Everyone understand? If you post more after the five minutes, which is bound to happen, then you are allowed to delete the extra posts. However, there are no edits allowed on your posts. If I find an edited post while checking, I will discard that attempt and you miss out on Immunity. Another rule, if you do not have exactly 10 posts in between the lighting of the torches, I will discard your attempt and you automatically lose.
You are allowed to attempt this as many times as you see fit. Make you sure you let me know which attempt is your FINAL SUBMISSION. Do so by posting in that thread stating it's the one you're submitting. The top 2 individuals who light the most torches within five minutes will be granted with Immunity and safe from this tribal council.
At the amazing chance there is a tie, the tie breaker will be the amount of PMS both Damien and I have as a whole throughout the ENTIRE SERIES (Blyde through Devil's Island). So, in the post stating which attempt you are using, ALSO include your tie breaker number please
All good? A lot to take in but worth it! High stakes, good luck everyone and happy posting. You have exactly 48 hours from this post to submit your Immunity Challenge in your confessionals. Just making sure that all of you have enough time during this busy weekend. Essentially, all should be submitted by Monday night. Also, the immunity winners of this round will be brought to Devil's Island, they will not be able to take part in the vote at Tribal Council.
Happy Easter!! Survivor's Ready!? Gooooo!
